"Humans, in service to God, have special roles on behalf of the whole of creation. Made in the image of God, we are called to care for the earth as God cares for the earth." (ELCA, "Caring for Creation: Vision, Hope, and Justice," 1993).

We are called by God to ""keep the earth"" (Genesis 2:15). Here at Grace Lutheran Church we are excited about a new initiative underway to help our church and its members take active steps toward preserving and protecting God's creation. Already, our church has increased its recycling program to include paper and cardboard waste.
As part of our initiative we also want to educate members on ways they can recycle more at home. Below are websites that contain information on year-round recycling as well as special collection events. In addition, look for upcoming events and adult forums at church aimed at helping us learn how to be God's environmental ambassadors in our own communities. The Grace Goes Green Task Force has received wonderful support from the congregation and community groups using our facilities. If you would like to join our Task Force please contact the church office at 610 777-7885 or email Allison Filer at allison.n.filer@gmail.com.
